Chantel Wynter ENG 201 – Barbara Cole Research Proposal Music has always played a major part our lives whether it was involved in a political aspect or social aspect. Either way music has found its way to affect the way people live their lives or how they view others or how they choose to do certain things in life. An example of this is during the Counterculture Era where music had a major impact on the views of many Americans ultimately changing many point of views which is going to be topic of my research paper. I will prove how the idea of a typical American was changed through the counterculture era when college students got more involved in concerns with the political and social situations of that time using music to
