(Comparing Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS)
INTRODUCTION:
PROBLEM STATEMENT: The competition between Google Android and Apple IOS is one of
the most talked after wars in mobile gadget platforms. This project is based on the research done
on Smartphone users using the IOS devices and the users of Android. IOS and Android are both
great mobile platfo rms. They also have quite a bit of room for improvement and different ideas
of what matters to users.
It's possible to sum up the tech industry's engine of progress in four words: Apple vs. everybody
else. That's been true for a quarter-century in the personal-computer realm, where the Apple
product in question is the Mac and everybody else consists of Windows PC makers. And now it's
happening with smart phones, a product category increasingly defined by intense competition
between Apple's iPhone and the gaggle of manufacturers who have embraced Google's Android
software.
Unlike the Mac-PC wars, the battle between the iPhone and Android is in its early stages. Both
Apple and Google and its hardware partners are trying to dominate the market in exactly the
right way: by building the best possible phones. Consumers benefit whether they buy an iPhone
or an Android handset from a company such as HTC, Motorola or Samsung.
In a remarkably short timeframe, developing apps for Smartphone’s has gone from
an arcane curiosity to an essential skill set. Employers are scrambling to find developers capable
of transforming their ideas into apps. Educators interested in filling that void are likewise trying
to keep up, and face difficult decisions in designing a meaningful course. There are a couple of
development platforms, but two stand out because of their popularity and divergent approaches -
Apple's IOS, and Google's Android. In this paper, we will compare the two, and address the
question which will rule the mobile world.
PURPOSE STATEMENT: In the present generation everything is related to technology. Now a
day’s each and every person irrelevant to their age groups using the Smartphone’s in a large
extinct. This became the hot topic in the mobile world now. So I thought of doing a research on
how they differ and which is more useful and I also thought of taking the users opinions
regarding the both mobile platforms. Doing this project I wish I could find many new things

regarding the mobile world and also this will surely help many of us to make a decision while
purchasing some mobile devices.
RESEARCH QUESTION: In this research we deal with the questions regarding two mobile
platforms which are ruling the mobile world now...
 Of the many mobile operating systems available, two comprise the majority of the market
