Sammy Moskowitz T. Ready COM 201 February 13, 2008 Obama takes Connecticut by Storm Thousands of people came out to hear Illinois Senator Barack Obama speak at a rally in Hartford on the eve of Super Tuesday. Obama described his race for the presidency as the answer to the American people’s call for change. “I believe that there is such a thing as being too late,” he said. “And that hour is almost upon us.” He said that he was counting on the American people to move away from a divided country and join together under the voice of change. “After one year of crisscrossing the states, of listening to your stories, I am here to report that my bet has paid off, and my faith in the American people has been vindicated. The American people have told me they are ready for change,” Obama said. Caroline Kennedy reiterated her endorsement of Obama, comparing him to her father, President John F. Kennedy. Her uncle, Mass. Senator Edward Kennedy, introduced Obama as the candidate that “understands the importance of the young people of this nation.”
