To answer our questions Making systematic observations, not selective or  impressionistic ones To understand others answers Not to be fooled by faulty answers To avoid logical errors Generalizing, stereo typing, or over generalizing Logical reasoning, not jumping to conclusions Perspective from the big picture, not just our personal  interests Accept reevaluations of ideals Not to maintain commitments to our own egos Not to devote too much to tradition Not to rely too much on authority Is sociology science?
