Mixed regime is a state that displays democratic and authoritarian tendencies and behaviors, which can occur when a young democracy emerging from an authoritarian past tries to implement democratic political reforms or when a state that has experienced failed attempts at democratization and relapses into authoritarian ways Russia, Venezuela, Kenya, Fiji are examples of a mixed regime that is/was a democracy that has lapsed into authoritarian ways Ukraine, Nepal, Mongolia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia, East Timor, Georgia, Slovakia are examples of a young democracy emerging from authoritarianism Bangladesh was part of East Pakistan until it gained independence in 1971 Bargaining is a process in which individuals and groups pursue their goals and deal with their conflicts through direct negotiation or indirect forms of exchange Generally bargaining involves compromise, deal making, and give-and-take in order for one actor to exert pressure on another actor, it is usually a peaceful process
