At the Omaha convention the party came up with the Populist platform, which was their plan for the government to “restore democracy and economic opportunity .” They addressed the issues of corruption in the government, bribery of voters, lack of facts in news papers, debts people are in, unfair distribution of land, and barred from forming unions .
