Crowley1 Speech Seaborn Persuasive speech I. Introduction A. Jan 12, 2008, it was a Saturday. We have lived so many Saturdays in our past. Well this particular Saturday was a day that could have changed my life forever. That morning I was on my way to work. Little did I know the importance of slowing way down in these horrible conditions that the roads were in. I was going about 50 mph in a 55. So its not like I was speeding, however this was not slow enough. About halfway to my work I hit a slick spot on the road and my car decided it was going to spin sideways and slide. As you can imagine, I was scared for my life. I thought I was surely going to roll and crash to my death on that early morning. Well I didn’t, thank god, but I did get a new lease on life and want to get people, including myself, more educated on how to drive. This is a prime example of how people, including me, can be and are bad drivers. These are a few of my thoughts on why a rigorous periodic driver’s assessment should be taken to help cut down on drivers that shouldn’t be on the roads. This speech will go over why we would want to reduce accidents in the United States, explain what a rigorous driver’s assessment would mean for us and also tell you what we can do to help
