Please carefully read and follow the instructions, which will guide you in your review of and work on 6.5: Properties of
Logarithms. Please trust the process . I am going to ask you to do things that you might not normally do on your own or
think necessary, but I am doing this on purpose to compensate for our lack of face-to-face interaction.
1. Spend at least 5-10 minutes reading through and annotating your notes from Lesson 6.5 (we took these on
Thursday/Friday, March 12/13). Suggestion: Cover up the work and solutions for the six example problems that we did at
the end. Try re-working them, and then check to see that your work and answers are correct. If not, review the three
properties of logarithms that we wrote down and try to identify your misconception or mistake.
2. Take out a piece of paper. Put your name on it, with “HW 6.5” written below your name.
3. Complete HW 6.5:
p. 331: #1-31 odd, 49-55 odd
Practice 8-4 (see BB): #12-45 (multiples of 3 only)
4.
