The Vice president of marketing Syh Gilman,wants to give a promotion to Rochelle Beauport as a result of her success however this newswouldn’t make Ms. Beauport happy as she has some biased personal opinion about her bosscould want to sideline her, try to block her career path because she is a woman of color, while inreality Syd Gilman thinks that it is a great opportunity for her to move up in her career as hewalked down the same path before. In this paper I will be analyzing the case to see what wentwrong and how to prevent it.Review/Analysis of the CaseIn this case study I see communication problem between the company Vice president and theemployee. For Ms. Beauport to have bias opinion about her manager is an example ofstereotyping and social identity theory. Furthermore, Ms. Beauport get into the perception errorsfrom her perspective the offered position does not have a leadership career pat while the Mr.
