Introduction to people involved in Hardware creation of Macbook Air 2020: Johny Srouji is Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies. In 2008, Johny joined Apple to manage the development of the A4, the first Apple- designed system on a chips. He graduated from Technion, Israel's Institute of Technology, with a bachelor's and master's degree in computer science. Srouji announced the transfer of Apple’s Macintosh series of personal computers from Intel’s x86 CPU architecture to their own Apple siliccon at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in 2020. John Ternus is Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. He is in charge of all hardware engineering, including the teams that work on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods, and other products. John revealed the 2020 M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. Ternus has been a crucial figure in the Mac's gradual move to Apple silicon. He received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Y.L. Wang is Vice President of Fab Operations I at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSMC). He joined TSMC in 1992, gradually accumulating responsibilities in several production management roles at the company's fabs. Dr. Wang has greatly enhanced productivity and defect density throughout his more than 20 years of services at TSMC, He joined the creation of more advanced 10nm, 7nm, and 5nm technologies, which he successfully brought into fab production.
