Mogaji: Certified Public Accountant And Financial Advisor If I could rewind the clocks ten years or so and one was to ask me what I would want to be when I grow up I would have most likely said either a doctor or lawyer; a typical response that most children would say. But as As time progressed and I matured into the adult I am today, I have come to the conclusion that those are not possible careers for me anymore. When I walked through the gates of Virginia State University on August 12 th , I knew that my major was going to be accounting with a concentration in finance. With an accounting degree with a concentration in finance, I hope to one day be a Financial Advisor/CPA for an international corporation. I chose should be an accountant/financial advisor this career choice because whether the economy is going through a recession, depression or surplus, there will always be a demand for accountants and financial advisors. Mogaji 2 Financial Advisors provides analysis and guidance to businesses and individuals with investment decisions. Certified Public Accountants, CPAs, keep track of payments, financial positions, and transfers of capital or income for individuals or institutional clients. The minimum amount of schooling required for either career is Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or another related field, but firms tend to lean towards those who are significantly computer proficient or have worked in number- intensive jobs. Majority A majority of those who are in this field have gone further to get a Masters in either finance or accounting and for accountants, they are required to take the Certified Public Accountant exam which is composed of four rigorous parts...
