Karasek in the 1980s, themodel comes from an idea that physiological strain or stress does not come from a singledimension it comes from three dimensions. The three dimensions in theJob-Demand-Control-Support model are the job demand, job decision latitude and job socialsupport. The demand of the model relates to the workload of an individual. The control/decision latitude in the model relates to the amount of control you have in your work e.g.when something is due. (Karasek, 1979).
