Background and Overview of the brand The humble beginning of the Cotton On Group started out as a denim store on the surf coast of Victoria Australia in 1991 with very few amount of employees. Besides their beginning as a small business with huge flexibility over the timing of the launch and the structure of the designs released to the outlets, the Cotton On Group quickly developed into a huge clothing brand with 600 stores and almost over 5000 employees all over Australia. Moderately, the Cotton On Group started to expand globally with so a huge number of chains operation in Malaysia, New South Wales, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the United States of America, and Singapore. After innovatively expand globally, the Cotton On Group has expanded their branch into children's apparel with Cotton On kids, sleepwear, and active wears with Cotton On body, stationery, and gifts with Typo and footwears with Rubi. Their ability to become one of the most responsive and innovative brands without interacting or compromising their quality and values is what makes them stand tall in the middle of an awfully competitive retail market. They have given every customer the same outstanding customer service and a very positive retail experience so that they would return as happy and long-term customers. The leaders of the groups, Nigel and Tania are very responsive, committed, and present in every design and launch that the Cotton On Group has come up with, no matter how small the product is. They make sure that every product and garments go through different levels of inspection to fit the following factors; 1. Consistency 2. Responding to the customer needs 3. Innovation One of their prominent factors of the Cotton On Group is that they make sure that their identity is based on the fact that how good the quality of the products are, how affordable and fashionable the casual clothes can be.
