Ethical ConsiderationAccording to Postholm and Madsen (2006) that a qualitative researcher mustconsider certain ethics in conducting a qualitative research. The researchers will followcertain ethical guidelines while conducting this study. Hence, in compliance withResearch Ethics Committee requirements of HCDC,we assured that the nine elementsof ethical consideration have been complied.Social Value. A research study should be responsive to social issues or problemsexperienced in the community. In adherence to social value, the results that can begenerated from this study should be important enough to justify the asking of individualsto accept some risks as a result of participating in this study. As for the current research,the results of the study onthe Parenting Styles and Student’s Academic Performance inHoly Cross of Davao College will be beneficial not only for theBachelor od SecondaryEducation major in Social Studies 2ndyear respondents but also to other people suchparents and guardians, the teachers and students. To disseminate the result of thestudy,we intend to presentour paper in a research public forum.Informed Consent and Informed Assent.
