Problem Alexander Bandellie is currently the District Manager for Ronsisni & Fitch (“R&F”), Boston’s office. The senior manager at R&F saw the need for a new blood in the Boston office to shake things up. They wanted Bandellie to bring R&F, especially the Boston office, into the 21 century. For the first sixty days, Bandellie not only talked to the people, he also listened and got involved in issues. Through his communication and analysis, Bandellie has determine the three major problems he saw in the office, which concerned finance, culture and brand equity. In order for changes to be made, in the Boston office, Bandellie has decided to focus on these issues. Bandellie correlated these issues with what he has identify as the “Three Cs”. The Three Cs were lack of communication, lack of cooperation and lack of collaboration. Because of the lack of unity within this office, externally, their reputation in the local market was not a good one. I am in total agreement with Bandellie’s assumption of the situation. In order for the office to overcome this, Bandellie would need to focus on team building. However, with his big plans to revitalize this office in two years, would be a tall order to fill. His plans, in my opinion, was overreaching; especially, when it comes to cultural changes with the older Brokers. The Boston office was accustom in doing business their way and having Bandellie implementing changes, would be greeted with negativity. Situation R&F offices had recovered from the depressed market of the early 1990s. R&F was founded as a residential brokerage company, which was followed by commercial, insurance, property and asset management and real estate development services. Due to the market crash in the company was forced to go through five COEs in six years, in hopes to turn the business around.
