Health care professionals must ensure that the contract has met legal standards to be valid. Health care professionals must be able to avoid ethical issues when meeting the contract requirements. How can you avoid ethical issues in meeting contract requirements? Before signing a contract, proper research must be made about the contract and the entity offering the contract. According to Ethics in Managed Care Contracting (2013), a good health care contract should not disagree with the four ethical tenets of the medical profession: autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice.
