HEALTH CARE CONTRACTS DISCUSSION QUESTION TEAM C 2 Health Care Contracts Discussion Question Team C As in any business, health care professionals must know what legal risks there are entering into a contract. Health care professionals must ensure that the contract has met legal standards to be valid and must be able to avoid ethical issues when meeting the contract requirements. Before signing a contract, proper research is made concerning the contract and the entity offering the contract. The Ethics in Managed Care Contracting (2013), suggests a good health care contract should not disagree with the four ethical tenets of the medical profession: autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice. If an organization offers a medical professional a contract that openly defies any of the tenets, the contract will be refused.
