Ronnie Deng  COM 340  Oct. 7 th  : Burke’s Addition to Rhetoric  Define:    Been dedicated all his life to words and literature, Kenneth Burke cast light on some new aspects on the  nature of rhetoric, including identification as compensation for division, the rhetor himself as audience and  dramatism etc., which well explained how rhetoric defines situations and offers solutions to them by using three  major kinds of rhetorical forms and language as the medium. Develop:  Born in 1897, Burke had been fond of literature since a very young age and was continually struggling with his  dedication to words and life changes.  Throughout his lifetime, Burke had published many of his works, which include  Counter-Statement, Performance and Change, A Rhetoric of Motives  and so on, which helped lay down the ground for his  expansion of rhetoric study.
