Text: A collection of TV commercials which star Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld Context: The growing competition in the computer and software industry in the United Sates, especially intense with Apple’s innovation and marketing. 2) This collection of TV ads, starring the former CEO of Microsoft and comedian Jerry Seinfeld, tried to lure audience to change the impression of Windows, and promote its brand and products. In order to do so, the following persuasive strategies are used: (a) Microsoft may benefit from the appearance of Mr. Gates, who is the CEO of Microsoft and has celebrity status of his own (ethos).
