Liz Katzki Journey- Marin Headlands Sitting at the kitchen table, my Uncle Elliot contemplated the rest of his stay in San Francisco. It was a Friday evening, eating dinner with my whole family: three uncles, mother, aunt, sister, and grandmother. Though most of these dinners tend to get blown out of proportion, and end in predictable arguments about volume, temper, childhood or political banter, this evening happened to be a pleasant one. Sitting across the table from my uncle, who was brainstorming ideas for his Saturday morning and afternoon, I began to ponder the possibilities; there are many things to do in San Francisco, but the first, most random, irrelevant idea entered my mind: “Let’s go to the marin headlands!” Of course, my mother had to turn this into some sort of responsibility lesson for me.
