Johnson,learning is defined as "taking in the world around you and connecting to what you areexperiencing. It requires you to make sense of the experience and come to an understanding of it.Finally, learning involves using critical-thinking skills and sound judgment to respondappropriately to a task, whether it is an online assignment or a workplace duty." Learning meansthat you are aware of everything happening around you. Using the five primary senses: taste,smell, sight, hearing, and touch to connect to what stimuli are passing through the brain-mindbarrier, then decide how you need to respond. For example, you may see a little boy fall andscrape his knee, but at that moment, that is not all that happens. You may smell blood, hear hiscrying, or feel him shudder as you pick him up from the cries. Later, when asked to recall thememory, you may not just remember him falling but all the details that go with it. The responsein this scenario is picking up the boy and making sure he is not severely hurt. You accessed thesituation using the senses to be sure that the reaction was appropriate.
