2Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension which we can feel inour normal part of life every day. Every individual face stress at some point in their lifewhereas some experience higher level of stress than others and some having difficultiesin keeping up with stresses. The only difference is what type of stress they faced andhow well they manage it. This essay will be mainly focusing on the type of stresses andthe ways to overcome them. Well, there can't be no stress without stressors. Althoughstress is a normal response to our body there are some situations which are inevitable tostresses. One of this includes college life. Why do college students are inevitable tostress? This may occur because of potential stressors such as anticipatory stressors,encounterstressors,timestressors,situationalstressorsand financial stressors. (Albrecht, K. 1979). A recent interview listed that due to anincrease in stress and burnout it has also resulted in high risk of school dropouts.(Walburg, V. 2014). Moreover, this essay will be focusing about how stress hasimpacted the college students in their academic life.To begin with, due to massive increasement in improvement and technology themodern world where everyone lives in right now is starting to become more complexand challenging. As a result, competitiveness between individuals arises. In case ofstudents, obtaining a degree is very crucial in their life. Only then they can get a joband can get a chance to work in high paid companies. This may lead to college studentsexperiencing a higher level of stress unlike in the past where everything can be done byjust studying well. A German architect states that stress can be categorized into 4 maintypes: Time, Anticipatory, Situational and Encounter. (Albrecht, K. 1979). So, what ismean by time stressors? Time stressors can be summarized into too much work and toolittle time. Those who experienced time stressors don’t tend to feel an urge to complete
