THE RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS 3.2 Before we go any further, let us see the recruitment and selection process that can be viewed as a series of hurdles that require: (a) Doing employment planning to determine the duties of the position to be filled. (b) Building a pool of candidates by recruiting internal or external candidates. (c) Having applicants fill out the application forms and focus on the requirement of the screening interview. (d) Using various selection techniques such as tests, referrals, physical tests and personal investigations to identify reliable candidates. (e) Supervisors and other relevant parties interview final candidates to make a final choice of the candidates.
