POV: 1 st Marlow, Narrator Setting: Jungles of Africa, Europe Plot: Marlow a sailor dreams of going on a journey up the Congo River. Marlow seeks a job as a riverboat captain working for an organization that trades in the Congo called the Company. Marlow sees massive brutality in the Companys stations while traveling; the natives have been forced to work slave labor for the Company. Marlow goes to the Central Station that is run by the general manager. Marlows steamship gets sunk and he spends months waiting for rivets to repair it. Marlow finally gets the parts he needed to repair his ship, and he and the manager set out with a crew of cannibals on a voyage up the river.
