Doing the right thing when no one is looking. CEO’s must remain one of the most ethical people in an organization. CEO’s deal with shareholders and vendors. Never do anything illegal. No “shades of gray.” Never lie, do not deceive. Do not cover up mistakes, get boss involved. “I can’t be part of the solution if I do not know about the problem.” Communication is a not a sign of weakness. CEO’s tend to train company to bring only good news. “Black” Buying business – “If you do not sell to me I will buy the other business and run you out of business.” “If you do not sell to me my company will suffer and cannot succeed without you.”
