“A Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost A short biography of Robert Frost Robert Frost was born on March 26, 1874 in San Francisco, California to Isabelle Moodie and William Prescott Frost Jr. After Robert’s father died, his sister Jeanie Florence, and his mom moved to the town of New England. Robert soon took an interest in books and reading, partly due to his early exposure from his parents’ professions. Besides books and reading, Robert also formed an interest for nature and the great outdoors. After graduating at Lawrence High School as the valedictorian, he went on to Dartmouth, an Ivy League College, but soon became disenchanted by the atmosphere and decided to leave. After he left, he took in a series of jobs, but always continued to write his poems. He then got his first break as a poet in 1894 when the magazine, Independent , published “My Butterfly: An Elegy”. Robert then got married to his high school sweetheart, Elinor Miriam White, and they had six children together. Robert and his wife
