Harris 1 Chianti Harris Ms. Sewell English Composition I 09/05/2021 Writing Notes I selected “Some Lessons from the Assembly Line” by Andrew Braaksma as my article to use in my term-long critical analysis project. Braaksma’s purpose is to inform his readers of the importance of pursuing a college education. In Braaksma's article, ‘Some Lessons from the Assembly Line,” he stated, “Factory life has shown me that my future might have been like had I never gone to college in the first place.” Braaksma is determined to not get complacent at his current factory job. Braaksma uses his factory job as motivation to continue to work hard and pursue his college education, so he does not depend on that factory job for the rest life like he has seen others that are misfortunate than him do.
