12/2/13 Artifact 1: My first artifact is a picture of my friends and me after we walked across the stage at graduation. We had just received are diplomas and we were very excited to be moving on to college. I chose this artifact because it reminded me of home and all my friends who are still there. When I look at the picture it helps me remember all the great times we had together throughout high school. Artifact 2: My second artifact is a picture of my pledge brothers and me at the Battery in Charleston. We all went there late at night to visit another one of our brothers and had a great time. I chose this artifact because it will always remind me of that night and how it brought all of us together. Artifact 3: My next artifact is a koozie that was given to me after I completed community service for the Keep the Midlands Beautiful program. For the community service we helped clean trash

Unformatted text preview: from local neighborhoods around Columbia that may have been in bad shape. We were able to see how much poverty is prevalent in the city by touring these neighborhoods. It was very emotional to see how bad some homes were trashed as small children played in the front yard. I chose this artifact because it reminds me to be humble and appreciate what I have in my life. (Also my OCE artifact) Artifact 4: My final artifact is a picture of my cousins and I on a cruise we went on a few years to celebrate my grandmother’s 75 th birthday. We went on the trip over Christmas and as you can see we were extremely happy to be there. I chose this artifact because it reminds me of my family and how much fun we have every time we’re together. It also makes me smile every time I look at it because we all look like we’re having a really great time....
