Communication is the process by which information is transferred from one place toanother either vocally or written. According to Pearson, J., & Nelson, P. (2000)communication is the process of understanding and sharing meaning. It is the additionof everythingthat one person does when he wants to create understanding in the mindof another. It is a bridge of meaning. It involves the process of telling, listening andreading. Being able to communicate in our day to day lives is essential to solvingproblems that occur in both our private and professional lives. In many organizationspoor communication is one of the main reasons why many workers feel indifferent totheir employers, Woolcott, Unwin 2003. Effective communication skills are critical for thesuccess of an organization, as it is an essential tool in achieving productivity andmaintaining strong, lasting working relationships at all levels of an organizationTo get theconcept of good business communication, ones musthave an idea onthe 7c’s of effective communication. Effective business communication uses conciseand straightforward language that gets to the point completely without beating aroundthe bush, and in a manner that encourages efficient action. In doing so you will be ableto save time and money. Communication must be brief but comprehensive. It aims toenhance communication by eliminating redundancy without omitting importinginformation.
