For the following three questions, the dependent variable is test score and the independent variables are color (blue and red) and sex. Put color on the X-axis and draw separate lines for women and men. 4. Draw a graph with an interaction effect and a main effect due to sex, but NO main effect due to color, and where the is NOT a simple effect of sex at red. Test Score Blue Red 5. Draw a graph with no main effect due to sex, but there is a simple effect of sex at blue and a simple effect of sex at red. Test Score Blue Red 6. Draw a graph with no interaction effects but with a main effect due to color and a main effect due to sex.. Test Score Blue Red 7. Shelley is doing an experiment. The dependent variable is happiness. The two independent variables are optimism and state of residency (i.e., what state you live in: California, Arizona, etc.).
