UPDATED Instructions: This assessment will now run in an online environment 1) Students must come to their virtual class prepared by reading the case on MOODLE, and then studying relevant sections of theory from the textbook and the eReadings. 2) Students must collaborate with their team members in an online mode to prepare answers to the questions and to prepare a voice-over-PowerPoint submission. 3) You are to read through the case, and then answer all of the questions, ensuring consideration is given to each member’s opinions. Note: some questions may have multiple parts. Every part of each question requires an answer. 4) You will then prepare a presentation and prepare to upload it to the Assessment DropBox in Moodle. The presentation will be created using Microsoft PowerPoint with each student recording an audio narrative of the slide that they are describing. 5) Assessment will be based on: 1. The team’s explanation of how the context and environment of the company/organisation discussed in the case scenario relates to the theory that the group is addressing – 30%. 2. The team’s presentation of the theory and its relevance to the case scenario and the question they have been asked to answer – 30%. 3. The team’s presentation of a solution to the problem or issue discussed in the case scenario – 30%. 4. The quality and engagement of the presentation – 10%. 5. The team’s final mark will be based on the average mark of the best two (2) presentations from weeks 7, 8 & 9. 6. The individual mark for each team member will be moderated – by up to 50% - by the results of the peer evaluation which must be handed in in week 10. Marks for the class will not be released until all peer evaluations have been received. 6) Presentation details: Teams will have a week to prepare their presentation. ALL TEAMS WILL PRESENT – FOR ALL THREE PRESENTATIONS. The presentation should be no more than 5 minutes in length. The team will create no more than 6 slides, these will include: 1. Title slide with team member identification 2. Overview of the major points discussed, including theory/ies 3. Main points to support overall argument 4. Conclusion slide which presents, clearly, the contribution that the team has made towards solving the problem and educating the class. 5. The leader of the team will submit the presentation slides to Moodle after the tutorial 1
