Alexandria Welchman Southern New Hampshire University Assignment 4-2 June 5, 2021 Dear Ms. Freida: In response to your email, I have listed my recommendations below: 1. You can file a joint tax return with your husband. 2. The W2 Form is given from an employer to his employee for wages. Where you are not considered a subcontractor then you would receive a W2. 3. You are eligible for claiming a deduction under the Child tax credit for children below the age of 17. We would need to know their age in regards to what deducations and how many you can apply to your taxes. 4. Interest income earned from state and local bonds are exempt. If the interest is earned from bank deposits, you will need to get a Form 1099 from your bank to be provided as a proof of interest income. In regards to the taxation of dividends, we are required to identify as to whether the dividends are qualified or non qualified. In order to say a dividend as a qualified dividend, it has to meet 2 prerequisites.
