Simple distillation of a Binary Mixture In the first part of experiment you will carry out a simple distillation of two common solvents. Place 25 mL of a mixture of methanol and water in a 50 mL round bottom flask. Add one or two boiling chips to the flask and clamp this flask to a ring stand. Assemble a simple distillation apparatus using a graduated cylinder as the receiver. Using a heating mantle as the heat source, heat the flask until the solution boils. Watch closely and you will see a ring of condensate move up the
