Early Learning Standards Lesson Plan2Early Learning Standards Lesson PlanIn this paper I will be describing the environment that my students will be learning in. This paper will contain a lesson plan that I will implement into my classroom for recognizing animals, learning words and how to read. The lesson plan that I will create for my classroom will identify the Early Learning Standard that will help me as a teacher to guide my students. The lesson plan that I have created for literacy will be able to teach this standard to infants/toddlers, preschoolers, and primary-grade children. When my students first enter my classroom they will be greeted and welcomed to class every day. My students will have their own personal space where they can store their back packs, coats, and other items in their own cubby. These cubbies will be labeled with their names and a picture of their family or favorite pet to make their cubby their own. I will have age appropriate tables and chairs, shelves that hold books and toys. Also in the class room there will be a sink for hand washing and a bathroom for easy access. I will have separate areas that will spark the student’s interests in books, dramatic play, art, science and math. In front of the dry eraser board I will have a big circle rug where we gather to have circle time, singing and reading books. There will also be an area that will have computers for the children to use in their free time.
