Section 7/Lab 3 Title : DC Circuits and Ohm’s Law : Series and Parallel Circuits Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to use Ohm’s law to determine equivalent resistance between two resistors in parallel and in a series. Introduction : To complete this experiment the series circuit was connected (both resistors were used and connected in series). Data was collected using LoggerPro. A [Current Probe] device was assigned to the CH-1 input of the LabPro interface, and a [Voltage Probe] to the CH- 2 input. Each time Keep was clicked a data pair (voltage and current) was added to the data table (provided for this experiment). After each data pair was added, the power supply was adjusted to a new voltage to collect another pair. This process was continued for a dozen data pairs. The data was saved. Then the parallel circuit was connected, and the process was repeated. Data:
Analysis: 1. The calculated equivalent resistance for the series circuit with is 672Ohms. The calculated equivalent resistance for the parallel circuit is 161 Ohms. Calculations shown
