In this workbook we look at generating some random numbers and using these numbers. These random numbers can be used for generating random telephone numbers for surveys as well as for doing simulations which mimic processes like randomly flipping coins, rolling dice, choosing cards out of a deck of cards as well as picking random people with a certain characteristic. One can also simulate random fluctuations or changes in the stock market, housing market, interest rates and The Random Number Generator of Excel can be found in Tools under Data Analysis and and then utilizing the Random Number Generation option. The following is 10 uniformly random numbers between 0 and 1 for the seed 1523 in the cells A16 to A 25. You can change the # of digits displayed to 10 by using Format, Cells, Number and changing digits to 10 after highlighting the cells to be changed. These random numbers between 0 and 1 are changed to 10 digit in in the C column. 0.1529587695
