In 3-5 sentences, describe THREE geologic features (i.e. not cost) which could influence your decision. The location of the well in relation to a major water system (lake, river, ect), the further away you travel from a major water system the less water there typically is. How deep the water is, if the water is shallow, it is more likely that there will be contamination to the groundwater. The more earth between the surface and the water, the more protection the water has from contaminates. How much precipitation an area gets is also important, since that is a large source of the water a well pumps out. If a well doesn't get much rain, it is likely that it will not produce a lot of water in the long run (since eventually, the groundwater will run out).
