Running Head: CHOICEPOINT’S NEGLIGENCE IN INFORMATION SECURITY 2 Introduction This paper answers questions related to an information security breach at ChoicePoint, a leading data broker. The breach was caused by Oluwatosin, a 41-year old Nigerian living in California. Due to this, ChoicePoint has to suffer huge penalties and hence huge problems and losses which are depicted in this paper. ChoicePoint’s Negligence in Information Security Privacy is a very important security concept to be adopted by all organizations. “Without privacy, it is much harder for dissent to flourish or for democracy to remain healthy and robust” (Wright & Hert, 2012).
