Plantation Society What was it like for African slaves on a plantation Regardless of the crop, Caribbean and American plantations had commonalities/differences o In Common They specialized in the production of an agricultural good They produced food for the local community (as well as for export) They profited from the production and export of corps. They relied on slave labor (stupid white pussies, glad slavery is dissapearing) These plantation societies were racially divided o Differences Caribbean could not naturally sustain their slave numbers
