1770 new prime min. Fredrick North. Repeals all act excepts the tea act. 1772-1773 1.navy ship is burned. 2. North proposes that’s court justice salary will be paid from the revenue from the tea acts. 3. tea acts of 1773( a trick that the British gov is playing on them.) North taxes it right at the source so the colonists don’t relies. Creating a tea monopoly. Sons of Liberty encourage tea agents to resign. COLONIST stop from unloading there cargo. The Boston Tea Party. 90,000 lbs to the harbor. North has had it and issues a series of acts known as the Coercive acts 1. close Boston harbor 2. alter the mass. Colony charter. 3. any British royal official accused in the colonies will not be tried in the colonies but in England. 4. quartering Act (housing soldiers) 5. Quebec act in response- colonist will ravine. They will produce a declaration of rights. 1.. “we will agree to trade regulations, but what will we get out of it?” 2.. colonist impliment a limited boycott. Colonist perceiver.
