Daryl Gallagher Dr. Cross Research Paper Proposal The Ethics of Music Since the beginning of time, people have always yearned to make noise and eventually turned random noises into coordinated music. Music can bring family and friends together, by singing Christmas carols or their favorite oldies song, a community, through a church choir, or just allow a person to relax. But these days music seems to be getting the blame for many of the problem of our youth. The increase of school shooting and violence among teenagers is thought to be instigated on by angry rock and roll or violent rap lyrics. With teenagers dying from club drugs, it is obvious that people will associate drugs with music. With music being the source of two of the biggest problems facing our your today, why then is music such a huge part of our society? We live in a society that influences music from an early age, and then corrupts those same people when teenagers. But music is not all bad but in fact can heal. Music therapy is an
