What to consider when studying for the midterm exam For the essay: What was the Age of Discovery? When (in what centuries) did it occur? What countries were at the forefront of this period of exploration and conquest? Who were the major explorers, and what areas of the world did they explore? What were some consequences (positive and negative) of their conquests? What happened to the native people they conquered? What religion was spread during this period due to contact with new peoples? What were some of the inventions that made these voyages possible? When did the British and the French finally become successful in exploring and colonizing the world, especially the New World? What was the Protestant Reformation? When did it occur? Who were the major figures in the reformation? What was the purpose of the reformation? What were the results/accomplishments of the reformation? How did the Catholics respond to the reformation? How did the rulers of countries respond to the reformation? Were the reformers ever prosecuted, and, if yes, how and why? How did individual reformers differ in ideas, beliefs, and the ways in which they established the reformation? What was the Thirty Years’ War? When did it occur? Who ( what countries) were involved in the war? What were the causes of the conflict? How did the war end? Who lost power and who gained power in Europe as a result of this war? What was the name of the treaty that ended the war?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
