Utilize the appropriate communication strategies to initiate and maintain conversations and support comprehension, like circumlocution, self-correction, rephrasing, and clarification. Increase cultural competency through more advanced understanding and appreciation of the complexities of the cultural products, practices, and perspectives of one’s home culture(s) and target culture(s) with an open-minded and inquisitive spirit.
