Freedom of Religion 1. Freedom of Religion is… Freedom of Religion to me is being able to worship any God you choose without being persecuted for doing so. Also, being able to make your own choices about what religion best suits yourself. Finally, If you don’t believe in religion at all, that to should follow under freedom of religion. 2. The United States does/does not need freedom of religion? Why? Yes, the United States needs freedom of religion to uphold the Constitution, particularly the First Amendment, freedom of speech, religion, and separation of church and state. However, there are many fine lines when it comes to freedom of religion in the United States and whether or not these lines have been crossed. Any easy example would be the Pledge of Allegiance, the line “one nation under God” that seems to not follow separation of church and states and imposes religion upon individuals. 3.
