MONDELĒZ INTERNATIONAL ERP PROPOSAL3Mondelēz International ERP Business CaseGroup 1 Project OutlineOrganization Profile: Mondelēz International is the second largest food company in the world behind Nestle. They own such brands as Oreo cookies, Oscar Meyer meats, Planters Nuts, and very recently, Cadbury Chocolate. They operate on six continents and over 50 countries around the world. Kraft Mondelēz International is constantly expanding and contracting its business by buying new brands and selling off less profitable ones almost on a daily basis.Proposed ERP profile: Kraft Mondelēz International was already using an ERP system from vendor SAP for most of its corporate operations. Recently however, it needed to upgrade when it acquired the chocolate company Cadbury. Cadbury had tried a SAP ERPsystem before without success and were therefore apprehensive about the integration. Mondelēz International assured them that they had been using the system for years with very little problems and after the purchase of Cadbury, they upgraded from Netweaver ERP software to BusinessObjects Metadata version three. Rational for selection: Mondelēz International is a vastly huge company with many different ERP needs in many different locations. They have already managed to integratea system successfully in the past and now require constant upgrades and data migrations to new systems in order to keep up with current technology. They are also constantly acquiring new companies that need to be brought on-board with their current ERP systemand their data migrated and integrated with the main company’s system.
