Lost and Found “We need to talk.” I felt my stomach drop; I knew what was coming next. We had been putting off the inevitable for weeks. I knew he wasn’t happy, and I knew I was at fault, but it seemed easier to ignore the problem than to wade through all the sludge in order to fix it. But I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Rick said I’d changed; I was never happy, and nothing he did was ever good enough for me. I should have apologized, or begged him to give me another chance.
