Prelab for Chemistry 111: Experiment 4 Mindy McDuffie Statement of Problem The goal of this experiment is to determine the levels of bioavailability of copper. Summary of Methods Assemble a fume hood in order to safely determine the reaction of copper. Place copper droppings in a beaker and start the aspirator while slowly adding HNO 3. Note the observations. Remove the beaker from the aspirator and add NaOH until a piece of litmus paper turns blue.
