Confidence Intervals for Yes/No Questions When you have a random sample from a population and you ask yes/no questions then you can calculate a confidence interval around the percentage of the sample who say yes (e.g., yes they were very satisfied, no they were less than very satisfied) where you c be 95% confident that the true percentage of the population is within the confidence limit range.
