Review for First Exam General Information Exam Date = Thursday, 17 February . Multiple Choice Exam. Need 882-E scantron . Make-ups : Contact Dr. Rogers individually for instructions on make-up Exams. Exam Material: Most of the material for the exam will be taken from the text reading and from the lecture essays. You should be prepared to answer questions that are from the text reading alone OR material only on the weekly lectures. On a few occasions, some material will be taken from the websites alone - especially with respect to current events. Sometimes these will be websites with a hotlink in the course essays and other times you will need to do some internet research yourself to answer the question. Subjects to Know for Exam 1. Be able to identify the three empirical theories of American politics. 2. Be able to identify similarities and differences between pluralist theory and elite theory. 3. Know definition and significance of a political ideology. 4. Know similarities and differences in Locke and Hobbes' views of the social contract. 5.
