Harrison 1 Ashley Harrison Professor Carney 20th Century Dance 18 Feb 2008 Ballet Austin Ballet Austin’s performance was absolutely amazing. The idea of this show was similar to american idol but for dance. These three choreographers came with their own works and placed them upon the ballet austin dancers. These dancers performed their dances in hopes for one choreographer to win. These dances were beautiful and the three competitive choreographers were Viktor Kabaniaev, Amy Seiwert, and Sidra Bell. I loved the differences in all of the dances, but I likes the similarities in the costumes. Be- cause the costumes were so similar you the costumes did no draw away from the choreography. However, the costumes were no where not my favorite part of the show, but the beauty of the costumes, was how Amy Siewert used the costumes as part of her dance, unlike any other artist. She would drape the shirt over the face of the dancer, while the other choreographers did not use the costumes. I really enjoyed how before each performance there was a video about the choreographer
